LEGO games have worn different faces over the past few decades. 1997s LEGO island was an incredibly ambitious open-world adventure game, LEGO Creator was an early sandbox builder, LEGO racer was a Mario Kart Cloning and LEGOLAND was a theme park tycoon simulation. But then it came LEGO Star Wars in 2005, a title that changed LEGO games forever and laid the foundation for a path that would eventually lead to this LEGO Horizon Adventures.
horizon is quickly becoming one of PlayStation's most versatile first-party IPs and LEGO Horizon Adventures is the perfect example of this. LEGO Horizon Adventures is intended to bring a lighthearted, more family-friendly tone to the series while maintaining the series' distinctive aesthetic and staying true to its history and lore. On the surface, LEGO Horizon Adventures looks like a typical LEGO adventure game, but has a few key differences that set it apart from entries like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

At first glance, LEGO Horizon Adventures And LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga both appear to be similar LEGO projects. Both games are categorized as action-adventure titles, are aimed at a younger audience, are based on major franchises with pre-built characters, and have the typical LEGO art style that spices up an otherwise realistic world with toy bricks, creating a special charm. But if you dig just one level deeper, fans will discover this LEGO Horizon Adventures And LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga are actually two very different games.
LEGO Horizon Adventures appears to be taking a different approach to the usual LEGO formula
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was a bold evolution of Traveller's Tales' LEGO play formula, building on the foundations that had been continually built upon since 2005 LEGO Star Warsand is expanding exponentially in size. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga all nine main lines adjusted star Wars Films that deliver the same action, puzzles and platforming gameplay fans have come to expect. These missions were accompanied by over 20 explorable planets, each chock-full of side content.
LEGO Horizon Adventureson the other hand, takes a slightly different approach than the usual LEGO game formula. While The Skywalker Saga decided to go as big as possible on missions, side content, collectibles and playable characters. LEGO Horizon Adventures seems to offer a much more concise experience. Instead of adapting nine full-length films, LEGO Horizon Adventures tells the story of Horizon Zero Dawnwith many of its own, original moments full of charm. And while players can still collect new outfits and structures for their hub world, LEGO Horizon Adventures will likely contain no more than 1,000 collectibles to find throughout the levels.
While LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Set a new benchmark for licensed LEGO games with its larger scope, but was also criticized for containing too much filler. LEGO Horizon Adventures may not offer the 80+ hours of content, but may offer a more refined and concise experience that is a little easier for fans to digest.
