Jujutsu Kaisen conquers the Tokyo Sky Tree this fall

The final of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga is just around the corner, but that doesn't mean fans have to miss out just yet. Tokyo's tallest structure, the Tokyo Sky Tree, will be honoring the series' legacy throughout the fall, with special themes inside the tower including photo opportunities, art exhibitions, and a themed restaurant.




Tokyo Sky Tree has celebrated many famous anime and games with such exhibitions in the past, including major titles such as Pokemon And Final Fantasy. Now, Jujutsu Kaisen is added to the list and will take over one of Tokyo's most famous and recognizable buildings for nearly three months this fall.

Jujutsu Kaisen Sky Tree Tokyo Shibuya Battle

The main part of the special Jujutsu Kaisen The exhibition at Tokyo Sky Tree will take place on the tower's observation deck, 450 meters up. The entire observation deck will be decorated with key images from the anime franchise, and there will be plenty of space for fans to take photos. This includes walls covered with famous screenshots of the big fight in Shibuya, as well as a special space dedicated to life-size cardboard cutouts of the characters. In this area, there will be a special space where you can stand in the middle and have your photo taken with the characters, with the Tokyo skyline out the window behind you.


The rounded walls of the observation deck also feature life-size images of the characters from the series, especially from the second season, along with one of their famous quotes, giving you the opportunity to have your photo taken with your favorite characters. The observation deck stretches an impressive 110 meters. If you want to take a photo specifically to commemorate it, Jujutsu Kaisen Sky Tree, there is also a photo area where many of the characters are arranged around a photo of the tower, with a space in the middle where fans can stand for a memorable photo.

There is one last interesting place to take a photo, which looks like a black curtain framing part of the Tokyo skyline. The point of this place is to hold up your favorite photo. There will also be a special Jujutsu Kaisen Restaurant at Skytree Cafe on the 340th floor. The cafe is expected to be busy, so you may need to take a number and come back later when there is space. Also, each person is only allowed to order 7 items from the menu and only one of each item per visit.

The main course is a light sandwich plate with beef pastrami, cheese sauce, guacamole and yogurt sauce. There are also small cutouts of Itadori, Gojo, Fushiguro and Kugisaki. The sandwich plate also comes with a juice of your choice, each one designed after one of the characters also depicted on the plate. Itadori is orange juice, Fushiguro is tropical juice, Kugasaki is watermelon juice and Gojo is a mysterious “blue and white” juice.


There's also a dessert plate with a Krispy Kreme donut topped with ramune ice cream (soda) and whipped cream, served with a mango garnish. The donut plate has little cutouts of Gojo, Geto, and Ieiri. Like the sandwich plate, this one also comes with your choice of drink themed to the characters, but this time it's cream soda. The flavors aren't listed in the press release, but Gojo's is blue, Geto's is orange, and Ieiri's is green. Each drink from both sets comes with a coaster featuring a random character.

Finally, there is a special Jujutsu Kaisen Visit the Sky Tree Shop on the 345th floor. All items in the shop are exclusive to the exhibition and feature the characters and Sky Tree himself in the designs. These include acrylic standees (perfect for the photo spot mentioned above), keychains, Ramune candy containers, tote bags, clear sleeves, and badges.


And last but not least, the Tokyo skyline is celebrating Jujutsu Kaisen all fall with something you don't have to pay for. The outside of the actual tower will light up in anime-inspired color schemes all month long, which you can see from all over the city. It will switch between the four color schemes every three minutes. The days this happens are September 25th, 28th, and 29th; October 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, and 31st; November 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th; and December 7th, 14th, and 21st, from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Jujutsu Kaisen The exhibition at the Tokyo Sky Tree will be held in Tokyo, Japan, from September 25, 2024 to December 22, 2024. Tickets cost 3,500 yen (USD 24) for adults on weekdays and 3,800 yen (USD 26) on weekends.
