The PS3 was the first console to offer players digital versions of classic games. Players could download platform games such as Crash Bandicoot or RPGs like Final Fantasy 7These versions were not improved in any way, but could be played on the PS3, the PSP and eventually the PS Vita.
With the PS5, Sony recently launched an initiative to emulate PS1 games with enhanced features as pseudo-remasters. You can save whenever you want or go back in time. It's a great feature as part of the PS Plus catalog in the Classics section. Some may not even know that these emulated games exist on the PS5, so here are some of the best PS1 games so far.
6 Monkey escape
The monkeys are on the loose
Monkey escape was recently celebrated in Astro Bot as there is a hero level based on the franchise. Ape Escape started out as a late debut on the PS1 in 1999. It was about a monkey named Specter who gained super intelligence after donning a prototype helmet. He leads an escape from a facility to free the other monkeys, which results in them all causing chaos as they go along.
The players played as Spike, a young hero with hair as wild as Cloud's from Final Fantasy 7. Each level was short and full of monkeys that they had to catch again. They could catch them with a net, stun them with a baton and other devices helped with this. Even if it may be difficult to get used to the controls now, Monkey escape is still an entertaining action platformer and there are other parts after it that you can play on the PS5.
5 Hot Shots Golf 2
A relaxed sports game without complexity

The Golf Club The series has an interesting history. It was created by Camelot Software Planning, which after the first game became a closely associated studio with Nintendo, with hits such as Mario Golf And Golden Sun. Hot Shots Golf 2 was then created by a new developer, Clap Hanz, and has been part of the series ever since.
Anyone who has ever had a Mario Golf Game should know how this works. Players can choose one of several wacky characters and take part in various courses. Players must hit two meters for their ball to fly, simplifying the gameplay of other golf games of this era. While newer entries like Everyone's Golf (2017) are more accessible with features, Hot Shots Golf 2 is a classic that got even better with the power of the PS5.
4 The Legend of Dragoon
An active response to Final Fantasy 9 with dragon theme
The Legend of Dragoon was another late addition to the PS1. It was a turn-based RPG with a little twist. Similar to the Mario RPG games, players could time their button inputs to get extra hits in during combat. This inclusion, in addition to the dragon aspect of the story, helped it stand out. The Legend of Dragoon was a one-off Sony game that many fans have been eagerly awaiting to return in some form. This improved PS5 game is quite appealing thanks to the texture smoothing and loading times. While the random battles can get a bit much, it's great that Sony hasn't forgotten about them entirely. 3 Siphon filter 2
Stealth gameplay at its finest
Almost the entire Siphon filter Series, including spinoffs, are on the PS5. The only thing missing is Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain This was the first PS2 entry to incorporate multiplayer and customization features into the gameplay experience. Siphon filter 2 this might sound a bit strange at first, but it has by far the most bombastic opening mission.
Players land on a snow-covered mountain after a plane crash and must take out terrorists. Things only get wilder from there, including a scene where players must hunt down a dictator in a dance club playing to the ABBA song “Dancing Queen.” The series is overall more down-to-earth than Metal Gear Solid as a stealth series, but Siphon filter was obviously not afraid to take risks.
A bombastic auto battler
Twisted metal is making a big comeback, despite not having a game in over a decade. The popularity of the TV adaptation could push Sony to open its wallets again to release a new game. While fans wait for a new game, they can enjoy the first two installments on the PS5.

Finally, the puzzle-based dungeons were more complicated than anything else on the system up to that point. If players enjoy this RPG, they should next check out Wild Arms 3, which is being emulated from the PS2 to the PS5. It takes the Wild West motifs to the max.
