The Milepost Zero update introduced many new characters to the game. Fallout76'S The newest region, Skyline Valley, is quickly becoming a central hub where many players are settling in. This latest update has brought a handful of new characters with interesting stories, unique items, and more.

Although the update has received some negative feedback on its latest content, if the Caravan Event feature can be expanded in the near future, the Milepost Zero update could just be the foundation for something much bigger. This list runs through the new characters that will be introduced with this update.

1 Marley

The main character of the new update

Marley at Milepost Zero

  • Responsible for assigning caravan missions to the player
  • Upgrades for Milepost Zero and Caravan Events can be purchased through them
  • Location: Milestone Zero

Marley is trying to expand the caravan network in the Skyline Valley region. She, like most of the other new characters, can be found in Milepost Zero. Marley has taken on the role of interim CEO as company boss. Joanna Mayfield, the owner, has left Marley to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Although she appears quite tough and no-nonsense on the outside, she is actually a kind and caring person who is committed to improving trade routes throughout the region.

Marley has a difficult relationship with her father. She only met him recently and he now works for the company. His name is Theodore. He is one of the characters the player can hire as part of this update. The mention of her father is a bit of a touchy subject. She doesn't really give away many details.

Players must speak to Marley to start Skyline Valley Caravan Events. She is also the one to speak to when it comes to spending supplies. Supplies are the newest currency introduced to the game with the Milepost Zero update. These can be used to hire help to run caravans and purchase goods and upgrades.

2 Theodor

A hardened ghoul trader

Fallout 76

  • Costs 150 supplies
  • He is the father of Marley
  • Location: Milestone Zero

Theodore is the most expensive worker to unlock. To buy him, players must hand over 150 supplies to Marley. He is a rather reserved guy who used to work for Vault-Tec. As mentioned, Theodore is Marley's father. Just like Marley, Theodore doesn't like to talk about his personal life, so he gives the player very little information. As for his ability, he runs a shop. Although the shop doesn't sell much, it will give the player a unique side quest if they invest some supplies in improving Theodore. The player can obtain a unique weapon upon completing this quest, the V63 Carbine.

Not only that, as the player continues to upgrade Theodore, he will start selling various plans to build mods for the V63 Carbine. While it's not the best weapon in the game, it's a lot of fun to use and is a great collectible to keep.

3 Josie

The friendly Brahmin tamer

Fallout 76

  • Costs 100 supplies
  • It helps to make the operation of caravans more efficient
  • Location: Milestone Zero

Josie is a strange character. Although she applied to be a Brahmin tamer, she has little experience in the field. She also doesn't particularly like animals. Despite these drawbacks, she is surprisingly good at her job. As the player progresses through the levels, they can purchase many upgrades through Marley that will help Josie lead caravans more efficiently.

25 Beginner Tips for Fallout 76

Fallout 76 is significantly different from other games in the series, so players must keep these tips in mind to succeed in the game.

From upgrades that increase the Brahmin’s haste to those that give the Brahmin more health, There are many upgrades that can be applied to the Brahmin to increase the chance of completing caravan events. While their upgrades seem great at first glance, not all of them are worth the investment in supplies. Improving the Brahmin's health is a good option. But aside from that, many of the other add-ons players can purchase aren't as useful.

4 Ineke

A dealer with some unique plans

Fallout 76

  • Costs 150 supplies
  • Sells unique plans to the player
  • Location: Milestone Zero

Ineke is a friendly but somewhat odd character. Once hired, she sits in a back room at Milepost Zero. Before coming to Appalachia, she worked transporting cargo across the ocean. Ineke has spent most of her life traveling and learning all kinds of things along the way.

As for its utility to the player, it sells a variety of unique plans. These plans can only be obtained by purchasing through her. While there have been reports of players not being able to see her inventory, the issue can usually be resolved by leaving the location and returning. At level 1, she has the following plans that players can purchase:

  • Improvised wine rack
  • Noren Curtains
  • Park Ranger Storage Box
  • Persian tapestry
  • Rolled Persian carpets

5 Axel

The Decorator

Axel in Fallout 76

  • Costs 125 supplies
  • Gives players the opportunity to decorate the interior of Milepost Zero
  • Location: Milestone Zero

Axel is a young boy who can be hired for 125 supplies. He is accompanied by Gyro, a non-hostile guard robot. Axel offers nothing to help the player during caravan events. Instead, he decorates the interior of Milepost Zero. The more the player upgrades him, the more decoration options he has. Since the interior of Milepost Zero is considered an instance, it is unique to everyone. So, with the help of Axel, Players can customize the interior of Milepost Zero to their liking.

Since Axel mainly deals in cosmetic items, he's worth hiring last, as he doesn't offer anything particularly useful. The themes players can choose from aren't particularly exciting either. In fact, there were quite a few players who were disappointed with the limited decoration options.
